Day 2: Three Day Girls Ski Weekend in Banff

After a fun night of karaoke, you’ll want to fuel up for a big day of adventuring in the mountains with breakfast at Hidden Ridge Resort, utilizing the kitchen in your condo. We did a big shop at Costco in Calgary before hitting the road. Therefore, this was the best way to stock up on meals and good snacks that we wanted to have at the resort.

If you want to plan the perfect bachelorette weekend in Banff, don’t forget to get some swag to stand out on the slopes. Lastly, you can pick them up in Calgary before heading to the mountains, and they offer weekend rentals!

Hike Tunnel Mountain in Banff

Conveniently located right near Hidden Ridge Resort in Banff is Tunnel Mountain, a 1,692 m tall mountain with a stunning 360-degree view of the town of Banff, Cascade Mountain, and the surrounding Bow Valley. Take the 45-minute hike up the mountain (slightly longer if snowy!) to capture some photos with the breathtaking views!

Explore Banff for the perfect Bachelorette

After working up a sweat and being rewarded with some beautiful views of the valley, it’s time to start exploring the town of Banff and all its charm! There are so many amazing shops, restaurants, and cafes to browse and enjoy while taking in the town of Banff. Specifically, take the time to check out Monod Sports and Big Bear Trading Co for some shopping!

Go Bowling at High Rollers

Next up, another great activity to add to the itinerary while you plan the perfect bachelorette in Banff is, of course, bowling! High Rollers is the perfect one-stop shop for drinks, dinner, and bowling. However, don’t forget to make a reservation if you are coordinating a large group.

Day 3: Three Day Girls Ski Weekend in Banff

Hit the slopes at Sunshine Ski Resort

Day 3 is finally here, the day we get to incorporate some skiing into the girls’ ski weekend in Banff, although you could swap out the above Day 2 activities for skiing at Lake Louise Ski Resort! From Banff, these shuttles make it an easy commute from town to Sunshine Ski Resort, and the pick-up location is directly in Banff at some of the major hotels.

Lunch at Trappers

Don’t forget to take a break from shredding the gnar to stop for some mandatory ski hill burgers and fries at Mad Trappers. It has great food, drinks and an even better vibe! 

Dinner at Three Bears Brewery & Dancing

The final way to cap off your efforts to plan the perfect bachelorette in Banff is to incorporate Three Bears Brewery for dinner and of course a night dancing at Rose and Crown!

How to get to Banff | How to Travel Around Banff

If you are traveling to Banff from a national or international destination, you will want to book a flight to fly into the Calgary International Airport. Next, there are a couple options to get to Banff via the one-hour drive on Hwy 1 out west:

Rent a car: Renting a car is your best option because you will have a set of wheels to explore the surrounding area of Canmore and Banff with the luxury of going where you want, when you want! Additionally, you can have the freedom of stopping at the many viewpoints on your way to the Rocky Mountains.

Shuttle: There is a shuttle that picks you up directly from the Calgary International Airport and drops you off directly in Canmore. Vivo Green Shuttles are $55 for a ride from Calgary to the Rocky Mountains.

Pop-a-ride: This ride-sharing app is similar to Uber and has multiple rides a day from Calgary to Canmore. Download the app, create your profile and request a ride for your desired day. You can snag a ride directly from the airport or other areas of Calgary for as low as $16 per one way! We love a good deal!
